TASHKENT TV TOWER

The Tashkent TV Tower is the tallest tower in Central Asia. Its height is 375 m. From the side, the TV tower resembles a rocket that is about to take off into the endless sky. Its construction began in 1978. For 6 years, builders, architects and design engineers built this modern pearl of Uzbekistan. On January 15, 1985, the television tower began its operation.

At the same moment, it took an honorable 11th place among 200 high-rise television towers around the world and 3rd place among all towers in the CIS countries. In addition, it is the second tallest building in Central Asia. Its main task was and is to this day radio and television broadcasting. The TV tower is open to everyone - both residents of Uzbekistan and guests of our Republic. It allows you to conduct excursions at a bird's eye view, as it offers a view of the entire city. The foyer of the TV tower is decorated with a mosaic panel in Roman and Florentine styles, which was personally created by master A. Burkhabaev.

It is located on the banks of the Bozsu canal, opposite the largest Tashkent water park and not far from another attraction - the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression.

Television and radio broadcasting occupies a special place in the history of Tashkent, because it was here that modern television was born - the world's first moving telephoto image on July 26, 1928 captured a Tashkent tram.

The capital broadcasts 15 state-owned TV channels, one of which broadcasts in 4K format, and 7 private TV channels. Broadcasting is carried out mainly in Uzbek, some TV channels are also in Russian.

In the foyer of the TV tower, models of TV towers from all over the world, which are included in the Association of Great TV Towers of Humanity, found their place. Three high-speed elevators allow access to the very top of the television tower, which in a few moments allows its guests to find themselves at the level of a twelve-story building. Over time, the management came up with the idea of creating restaurants at an altitude of 150 meters - just think how much more interesting relaxation and dinner will be when you watch the whole bustling life of Tashkent from the side with live music. What is especially impressive is the rotating platforms of the Koinot (“space”) restaurant, which allow you to enjoy a full overview of the capital during your meal.

The Canaan Travel team recommends visiting the Tashkent TV Tower in the first days of your stay in Tashkent - the observation decks and revolving restaurant will reveal to you all the beauty of the Eastern Star, which you can get to know better on one of our tours, visiting the famous sights of this city.
