‘Amulet’ Hotel was established in Bukhara, based on ‘Said Kamol’ madrasah that was built in 1861 by Bukhara merchant Mir-Said Kamol. This old madrasah is situated in Bahauddin Nakshbandi 73 Street, in the center of old Bukhara. The madrasah had to live through much in its lifetime. Once students studied here and they lived in small cells that are far away from relatives and friends. Study time was so enduring that sometimes their childhood and youth had been passed within the same walls.

The madrasah was forgotten, abandoned and empty for a long time. This building would live out its age, gradually become decrepit, rubbished, collapsing …  This is the background of the madrassah Said Kamol, the building that, after four years of restoration work, have received a second youth. The building was restored; all works of adapting it to a small hotel have been completed. However, the most important thing, which have been saved here, is the spirit of antiquity.

This feeling is intensified when in separate cells you meet fragments of wall painting – kyrma that was made using floral paints by an artisan.
The ancient doors of cells and powerful beams of the ceilings attract attention. Despite the seeming severity of the building, it looks like a medieval castle. From the first minute you feel cozy and homely here.

Each thing of interior and design of the rooms was chosen with a flavor, whether it is a grandmother’s chest, a massive bed made with walnut or elegant chairs and little tables of the talented Bukhara carpenter Aleksey Petrovich Syromyatnikov.

However, as required for hotels, each room has bathroom, shower, cold and hot water. The cordial owners of madrasah-hotel are always ready to help you.
The perception of opening new unfamiliar eastern world is harmoniously supplemented with opportunity to live for several days in ancient building of the 19 century, in the center of the most ancient town of Central Asia- Bukhara.

The hotel has small library, which was created according to the history and architecture of Bukhara. At tourists’ services is also provided evening event – demonstration of pilaf cooking. The hotel provides internet connection, fax and computer.

Rest room is decorated in example of Bukhara houses: you can watch TV set that has 200 channels while drinking odorous tea or coffee on the ’kurpacha’ – quilted mattresses and soft cushions which are rolled out near the low table, under which there are sandals (hearth) for heating.
